Day 2: Sundarban boat Safari and visit to the Canopy walk and Dobanki
The second day of your Sundarban Tour Package involves a full day cruise through the rivers and narrow creeks of the Sundarbans National Park as well as the World’s Largest Mangrove Forest and a lovely birding experience. Food for the entire length of your Sundarbans Tour package would be prepared and served from the motor boat.
Cross through the numerous creeks and canals of the Sunderban Tiger Reserve, notable among them being the Bonobibi Bharani, the Sundar Khali, Gazikhali, Chora Gazi Khali, Deul Bharani, the Pancha Mukhani (5 River junction), the Netai River and reach the Netidhopani Watchtower. This tour can also be christened a Sundarban Core Area Tour as visit to Netidhopani watchtower is a restricted area and falls just around the Core Area of the Sundarbans Tiger RESERVE.
First of all, visit the watch tower of Sudhanyakhali. Food would be prepared and served on the launch itself. Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower is one of the must see places of the Sundarban Nation park. The Sudhanyakhali watch tower has a capacity to host 30 tourists at a time. A lot of wildlife of the Sundarbans National Park are sighted from here. The Netidhopani Watchtower is one of the most important watchtowers situated close to the Core area of the Sundarban Tiger Reserve. Entry to this Watch Tower is highly restricted and controlled by the Sundarban Tiger Reserve authorities as it lies in the Core area of the Sundarban Tiger Reserve and only 13 boats are granted permission to visit Netidhopani watchtower everyday. The Netidhopani watchtower offers a very high probability of sighting wild animals along with the Royal Bengal tiger as lesser number of boats sail on the routes along the Netidhopani Watch Tower. Apart from the Netidhopani watch Tower, the Camp also has the ruins of a 400 year old Shiva Temple. There is also a sweet water pond. This watch tower has a capacity to host 20 persons at a time. It is also believed that there is a road on the extreme right of the forest which was built by King Pratapaditya to guard the coastal area. It is now covered with mud. The silence of the place would charm you.

Thereafter, enjoy the thrill of cruising deep in the “Indian Amazon” as India Beacons calls it and also around the islands of the Sundarban Tiger Project Area. Finally we would proceed towards the Netibhopani Watchtower. The Netidhopani Watch Tower lies on the edge of the Buffer and Core Area of the Sundarbans National Park. This watch tower has a capacity to host 20 persons at a time. The serenity of the Netidhopani Watch Tower is worth enjoying and offers a lot of bird watching options.
There is also a sweet water pond at Netidhopani. This watchtower offers one a view of the ruins of a 400 year old Shiva Temple, popularly called the Netidhopani Temple. It is also believed that there is a road on the extreme right of the forest which was built by King Pratapaditya to guard the coastal area. It is now covered with earth. A lot of archaeological finds, mainly terracotta wares have been found in and around the Netidhopani Temple and are displayed as specimens at Netidhopani. We would wrap up the day after the visit to this watchtower.
